Trans fats There has been a lot of news about how synthetic trans fats, (those found in processed food, not naturally occurring as in grass fed beef.) have a negative effect on the health of the body when consumed. A study showed one of these effects is inflammation, potentially worsening arthritis and joint pain.

Processed foods (foods packaged in bags, boxes or cans) are often high in sugar and trans fats, even if the ingredients say 0 trans fats, it is allowed a small amount. For this reason, one of the natural remedies for joint pain is avoiding processed food.

Foods cooked at high temperatures- this would be fried, smoked, pasteurized, grilled or food baked at high temperatures, they produce substances called Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) which are toxic to the body and cause inflammation.

Other things to consider are food allergies. Even if you don't have a noticeable reaction to any food, you might have a mild sensitivity that could cause inflammation and make joint pain worse.

3s in your diet

Consume more  omega 3 fatty acids for a better  omega 6 to omega 3 fatty acid ratio. Omega 3s reduce inflammation while omega 6s promote it. A good ratio of O6 to O3 is said to be 5:1 or lower. Most people today have a ratio of 20-50 to 1, with too many omega 6 fats from the oils used in processed foods today, causing many health problems.

Avoid vegetable oils (sunflower, safflower and corn) and grain fed beef because they are high in omega 6 fatty acids. Most food manufacturers use  vegetable oils in their products because they are cheaper. 

Plant sources of omega 3s include green leafy vegetables like spinach, flax seeds and chia seeds. Walnuts are a good source too but they also contain high amounts of omega 6 fatty acids.

Use olive oil  for salads and uncooked food, but for cooking try coconut oil, it's more stable at high temperatures, meaning it wont oxidize easily at high temperatures.  coconut oil can also help ease arthritis symptoms.

Add more animal-based Omega3 fatty acids to your die. Eat more fatty fish. Mackerel, Trout, Herring, Tuna and Salmon have some of the highest amount of omega 3s. Grass fed beef is also a good option over grain-fed beef for more omega 3 fatty acids.

Consider taking a quality fish oil supplement as another one of the natural remedies for joint pain. Some people suffering from arthritis have stopped taking their pain medication after they started taking fish oil.

include gelatin and vinegar
